NAME

6       dpkg.cfg - dpkg configuration file

DESCRIPTION

9       This  file  contains  default  options  for  dpkg. Each line contains a
10       single option which is exactly the same as a normal command line option
11       for dpkg except for the leading hyphens which are not used here. Quotes
12       surrounding  option  values  are  stripped.  Comments  are  allowed  by
13       starting a line with a hash sign (‘#’).
