9 Conway discourages using "tie" to bind Perl primitive variables to
10 user-defined objects. Unless the tie is done close to where the object
11 is used, other developers probably won't know that the variable has
12 special behavior. If you want to encapsulate complex behavior, just
13 use a proper object or subroutine.
