6       mesg  -  permit or deny messages

SYNOPSIS

9       mesg [ n ] [ y ]

DESCRIPTION

12       Mesg with argument n forbids messages via write(1) by revoking non-user
13       write permission on the user's terminal.  Mesg with  argument  y  rein‐
14       states permission.  All by itself, mesg reports the current state with‐
15       out changing it.
